The Sideline Project

The Sideline Project is a movement to improve youth soccer sidelines and we are proud to partner with The Sideline Project to make youth soccer better. We want all of our club parents, coaches, referees, administrators and spectators to Take the Sideline Pledge: watch the short video about sideline behavior, read the pledge, and add your name to the virtual pledge wall.

Take the Sideline Project Pledge Now

Watch the important 2 minute educational video, read the Pledge, and then agree to it by submitting your First Name and State. Your name will be added to the list below in a few seconds upon refresh of your computer.

Youth soccer belongs to the players.

  • I pledge to honor the youth soccer experience of the players with supportive, not distracting, behavior.
  • I pledge to eliminate hostile behavior targeted towards players, coaches, parents, and most notably referees.
  • I pledge to honor players, to respect referees, and to Make Youth Soccer Better.

Recognize to Recover - Concussion Initiative A concussion can be difficult to recognize on the field. Most occur without a loss of consciousness or an obvious sign that something is wrong with a player’s brain function. They can occur at any time throughout games or practice, as a blow to the head or body from contact with the ground, the ball or another player. Working with leading physicians for more than a decade, U.S. Soccer created Recognize to Recover resources that will help coaches, players, parents and referees identify the signs and symptoms of concussion and immediately take action with the appropriate treatment. Player safety has always been a top priority for the Florida Youth Soccer Association and for all of our affiliated clubs/leagues. In order to provide the safest guidelines for our players, we are implementing U.S. Soccer’s protocol for concussion awareness. Please find a wide array resources below about concussions.
